"Donut" Stress about the Test, just try your best day! - Mrs. Glassner's 3rd grade class worked with their Kindergarten Reading Buddies in Ms. Nichols' class to create their very own donut together!

Earlier this week Mrs. Parks' and Ms. Page's second grade classes celebrated Earth Day. Fun was had by all! A scavenger hunt, leaf symmetry, and counting out how many leaves, sticks, flowers, and rocks they found. Then they picked their favorite item to create a stamp!

Shadeville will participate in the third administration (PM3) of the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST). See the attached letters for details specific to your student's grade.

Take Your Child to Work Day is on Thursday, April 24th! If you choose for your child to participate, please send in a note to your child's teacher.

Parents and Guardians,
Wakulla County Schools are actively monitoring the active shooter situation at FSU. A small number of students were on a field trip in Tallahassee to participate in the Special Olympics Torch Run, and they have all been accounted for safely. Their return to Wakulla County may be delayed as law enforcement in Tallahassee is responding to the active situation. Their return may impact the timing of our afternoon bus routes, and more information will be shared as that timing is better known.
All WCS schools are still operating as normal and will dismiss at the regular time. We appreciate you patience as we work through this unfortunate situation.
Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved at FSU, and we will be prepared to assist our students and families who may be impacted directly.

Our 5th graders were able to visit the MagLab this week and see awesome scientists at work! They toured the facility, learned a lot about the equipment and what scientists work on in the labs, and got to do some exciting hand-on activities with electromagnets!

Our first graders had a BLAST at their field trip to Wakulla Springs last week!
